The Kerala High Court Allows Pre-Arrest Bail In YouTuber Assault Case

The Kerala High Court, in the Bench of Justice Ashok Menon allowed pre-arrest bail1 to the alleged accused, namely Bhagyalakshmi, Sajna NS (Divya Sana), and Sreelakshmi Arackal. They were accused of assaulting controversial YouTuber Vijay P Nair.

The three alleged accused approached the Kerala High Court to seek anticipatory bail in the case. The case is registered for assaulting YouTuber Vijay P Nair; he was alleged uploading a YouTube video which has offensive remarks against ‘feminists’.

The three women went to Vijay P Nair’s office, poured black ink and nettle oil on his face for the uploading of vulgar remarks against one of the women and slurs on ‘feminists’ in his YouTube videos which was posted on 26 of September.

The event of assault was streamed live on Facebook Inc. Those three left Nair’s house with his phone and laptop after throwing ink and black oil on his face.
